Why Scan
Let’s start with why it’s important to scan throughout your pregnancy. Scanning during pregnancy gives both you and your prenatal medical team a picture (quite literally) of how you and your baby are developing over the 40 weeks. From accurately dating your pregnancy to identifying multiple pregnancies, diagnosing foetal malformations to the functionality of your baby’s heart, lungs and brain, we use the latest ultrasound technology to monitor the health of you and your unborn baby.
Comprehensive Care
At Swell, you are provided with the most comprehensive prenatal diagnostic care possible, we believe in scanning early and often ensuring the full picture of you and your growing baby.
By screening at important milestones of your baby’s development and comparing as we go along you will have a holistic picture of your pregnancy to keep you and your baby as safe as possible.
Do I need all the scans?
The short answer is, not necessarily. Whilst we advocate our preferred model of care for its comprehensiveness, every pregnancy is different and there may be some scans that are optional. These decisions can be made with your prenatal medical team as your pregnancy progresses.
